Make a plan

A plan is how an idea becomes real - the core of what Keen does.

Starting a plan

Tap the Keen button (centre of the tab bar) from anywhere in the app. If you already picked an activity, Keen skips ahead to the next step.

The planning flow

Keen walks you through four questions:

What To Do? - pick or create an activity
Who’s Keen? - select friends to invite
Where To Go? - search for a place (optional)
When? - pick a date and optional time

On the Keen planning screen, your plan appears as bubbles - one for each piece. Tap any bubble to edit it.

How Keen helps you decide

When you make a plan, you can start by answering any question first. Whichever you answer first helps Keen suggest the others.

For example, if you select “Snowboarding” as the idea, Keen orders your friends in Who’s Keen? based on who’s most likely to enjoy it, and suggests ideal snowboarding locations in Where To Go?

It works in any direction.

If you start with Who’s Keen?, Keen shows ideas you’re all likely to enjoy. If you start with Where To Go?, Keen creates that location as the idea.

Start with what you’re sure of - Keen helps with the rest.

You can send a plan with just an activity and figure out the rest in chat. Most groups do.

Sending

When you’re happy with the plan, slide to send at the bottom of the Keen planning screen. Keen creates the plan and opens the chat where it was shared.

Editing later

When you open any plan you’ve created, you can hit Suggest Changes to modify any details. This puts the plan back on the Keen planning screen for you to edit, then slide again to apply the update.
