Invite friends

The right people make a plan worth sending. Keen helps you find them.

Getting friends on Keen first

You need to be connected on Keen before you can invite someone to a plan.

1. Open the Chats tab
2. Search for anyone by name or username in the header, or switch to the Friends segment
3. Send a friend request and ask them to accept
4. Use the Friends segment to see incoming requests and your friends list

You can also send someone your Sharable Profile Link from Profile (tap your avatar on Home), to help them find you sooner. This is especially helpful for friends who don’t have Keen yet.

Adding friends to a plan

During planning, the Who’s Keen? step shows your friend list. Tap to select everyone you want to invite. Keen ranks friends by how well they fit the activity you’ve chosen - a starting point, not a guarantee.

If you haven’t selected an activity, it will rank your friends based on how similar your interests are.

Use the search bar to find someone by name or username.

Going without invites

You can send a plan without selecting anyone - useful for solo plans or when you’ll invite people later from the plan summary.

You can always send a plan to friends via chat later on, to see if anyone is interested in joining you.

Adding friends after sending

Open the plan summary and use the invite action to add more people to an existing plan.

What friends see

When you send a plan, invited friends get a plan card in chat showing the activity, time, place, and who’s invited. They can open the full summary and confirm they’re coming.
